Singling out Allah alone in supplication and in all acts of worship

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Through this, we know that it is obligatory for us to direct our supplication, our requests, and the removal of our distress to whom? To Allah, to Allah, to Allah. He is the One who possesses that, while anyone other than Him does not.
Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says to His Messenger, listen:
Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah قل لا أقول لكم عندي خزائن الله
[Al-An'am 6:50]
This is one point. If he does not have the treasuries of Allah, does he have the power to provide for the servants of Allah?
Nor [is there blame] upon those who, when they came to you that you might give them mounts
[At-Tawbah 9:92]
What?
you said, "I can find nothing for you to ride upon."
[At-Tawbah 9:92]
,
I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen
[Al-An'am 6:50]
Pay attention, I do not know the unseen. Who knows the unseen?
The student: Allah.

The Shaykh : Allah, He is the One who knows the unseen
Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
[At-Taghabun 64:18]
(26) [He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone (27) Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers
[Al-Jinn 72:26-27]
.
And on this basis, we say that what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us of regarding what will happen until the Day of Resurrection and after the Day of Resurrection is from the knowledge of whom? From the knowledge of Allah. If Allah had not informed him, he would not have known it.
or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel
[Al-An'am 6:50]
Look at the verse in al-An'am; this is in al-An'am
nor do I tell you that I am an angel
[Al-An'am 6:50]
, and in Surat Hud, Noah said to his people
And I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel
[Hud 11:31]
. I omitted it for you in the story of Noah; in the story of Muhammad it came to you. Connect this with that. Noah was the first of the messengers and Muhammad the last of the messengers. Each of them says: I do not say to you that I have the treasuries of Allah, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I say that I am an angel. So, whoever claims that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) knows of the unseen other than what Allah taught him is a disbeliever, a disbeliever. Why? Because he is denying Allah and His Messenger. Allah the Exalted said
Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah قل لا يعلم من في السماوات والأرض الغيب إلا الله
[An-Naml 27:65]
, and here the Messenger was commanded to say
I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel
[Al-An'am 6:50]
. Did the Messenger say it to us or not? Did he say it to us? O people! Yes, he recited for us the Qur'an in which this verse is, so he said it to us
Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me."
[Al-An'am 6:50]
, meaning I am nothing but a messenger who follows only what is revealed to me. And if a claimant claims that the Messenger knows the unseen, what is the ruling on that in your view? Answer me!
The student: A disbeliever.

The Shaykh : A disbeliever. Why? Because he denied Allah and denied His Messenger. He denied Allah because Allah says
Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah قل لا يعلم من في السماوات والأرض الغيب إلا الله
[An-Naml 27:65]
. He denied the Messenger because the Messenger said
I do not say to you that I have the treasuries of Allah, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel
.
Now, if a claimant claims that someone far below the Messenger in rank knows the unseen, he is even more of a disbeliever and more of a disbeliever. Because if the Messenger does not know the unseen, what about those below him? A fortiori, they do not know the unseen.
And through this, we know that what we see in some newspapers about what will happen in this year, such and such, whoever believes in that is a disbeliever. For this reason, it came in the hadith
Whoever goes to a diviner or a fortune-teller and believes in what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 15:740
, because no one knows the unseen except Allah. And this is a blessing that we believe that these liars who say that such and such will happen in this year are liars, since no one in the heavens or on earth knows the unseen except Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and no one shares with Him in this,
So know that there is no deity except Allah.
.
