What is the importance of faith in the angels?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says this. The questioner : What is the importance of faith in the angels?

The Shaykh : Faith in the angels is of great importance, for faith in them is one of the six pillars of faith, as Jibril said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
He (the inquirer) said: Inform me about Iman (faith). He (the Holy Prophet) replied: That you affirm your faith in Allah, in His angels, in His Books, in His Apostles, in the Day of Judgment, and you affirm your faith in the Divine Decree about good and evil. أخبرني عن الإيمان ؟ قال : أن تؤمن بالله وملائكته وكتبه ورسله واليوم الآخر وتؤمن بالقدر خيره وشره
Sahih Muslim 8a
.
As for how we believe in them?
We believe that they are a hidden realm created from light, and that Allah made some of them messengers and some of them servants. They possess great power, especially Jibril (peace be upon him), for Allah described him as one of great power, saying:
(19) [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger (20) [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], (21) Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. إنه لقول رسول كريم ، ذي قوة عند ذي العرش مكين ، مطاع ثم أمين
[At-Takwir 81:19-21]
.
In their duties, they are divided into categories: some are angels with man, on his right and on his left, recording his good and bad deeds; some are angels who protect man by the command of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), taking turns by night and day—these by night and these by day—and they gather for the Fajr prayer and the 'Asr prayer.
Some are angels in charge of taking the souls, and some are angels in charge of questioning the dead after burial.
The important point is that they are a great hidden realm. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:
The Heavens moan, and they have the right to moan أطت السماء وحق لها أن تئط
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2312
. And "at-tatit" is the creaking of the saddle, the saddle of a camel when it is loaded and the camel walks, it makes a creaking sound, i.e., a creak. He says:
The heaven creaked, and it has a right to creak; there is no place in it the width of four fingers but that there is an angel in it standing for Allah, or bowing, or prostrating. أطت السماء وحق لها أن تئط، ليس فيها موضع أربع أصابع إلا وفيه ملك قائم لله أو راكع أو ساجد
.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) informed us about the House of Immersion in the seventh heaven, that seventy thousand angels enter it every day, and they do not return to it on the second day, but others come, until the Day of Resurrection, or until after that, Allah knows best.
The important point is that they are soldiers whom no one knows except Allah (Mighty and Majestic). So we believe in what we know of their names, we believe in what we know of their descriptions, and we believe in what we know of their duties, and as for what is beyond that, Allah knows best.
