The Story of the Muslim Scholar and the Christian Scholar Regarding the Comprehensiveness of Islam in All Matters

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is said that one of the scholars was in a restaurant in a European country, and that the restaurant gathered both Muslims and non-Muslims because it was in a European country. A man from the rabbis of the Jews or the Christians saw this Shaykh, with people coming to him to seek his legal opinion and ask him questions. He realized that he was a great scholar, so he came to him intending to strike him on the head. He said to him, "In the Qur'an,
And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things ونزلنا عليك الكتاب تبيانا لكل شيء
[An-Nahl 16:89]
" He said, "Yes." He said to him, "How do I find in the Qur'an how to make this sunbouse, this stew, and this bread? How do I make it? I have not found it in the Qur'an. I have read the Qur'an from its beginning to its end, and I do not find in it, if you want to make a sunbouse, do so and so. The Qur'an is not a cookbook to contain such things."
The point is that the man intended to poke at Islam from this angle, claiming that the Qur'an is not an explanation of everything. He said, "By Allah, the Qur'an is an explanation of everything." Then the learned man called the owner of the restaurant and said, "Come, how do you make this? How do you prepare it?" He said, "I do so and so and so," and described the dish completely, one hundred percent. He said, "This is what the Qur'an says."
Glory be to Allah. Where is the Qur'an? Where do I find it? He said, "The Qur'an." He said, "Indeed, Allah the Exalted said:
So ask the people of the message if you do not know. فاسألوا أهل الذكر إن كنتم لا تعلمون
[An-Nahl 16:43]
Glory be to Allah. The Qur'an guided us to the fact that what we do not know, we ask the people of knowledge about it. The people of knowledge about it. Thus, the Qur'an became an explanation of everything. And I want from this that the Muslim be attentive when difficulties befall him, so that he may refute the enemies of Allah, for the enemies of Allah lie in wait for us, wanting us to doubt our religion, our Messenger, and our Lord, Mighty and Majestic.
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. ووللآخرة خير لك من الأولى
[Ad-Duhaa 93:4]
