Is there a specific time for the prayer of istikharah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Yes, may Allah reward you. A questioner asks about istikharah: does it have a specific time, or does the person continue in this supplication until the desired matter is accomplished?

The Shaykh : The prayer of istikharah is prescribed when a person intends to do something and hesitates. If he has resolved, it is not prescribed. But if he hesitates and does not know which of the two matters is better, he seeks guidance from the One who knows the unseen of the heavens and the earth. Therefore, he says in the supplication of istikharah:
O Allah, I seek Your guidance by Your knowledge, and I seek Your power by Your might, and I ask You of Your great bounty. O Allah, if You know that this matter is good for me اللهم إني أستخيرك بعلمك وأستقدرك بقدرتك وأسألك من فضلك العظيم اللهم إن كنت تعلم أن هذا الأمر خير لي
and so on. Seek guidance from Allah. If something becomes clear to you, the matter has become evident. If nothing becomes clear, repeat the istikharah a second and third time. Then, what Allah wills for you will come to you. Yes.
