What is the authenticity of the hadith: "O Allah, protect me from the Fire seven times in the morning and seven times in the evening"?

The questioner : He says:The questioner : Is the hadith "O Allah, protect me from the Fire seven times every day, and likewise every night" authentic? And does Allah protect him from the Fire?

The Shaykh : The hadith is weak. This is not to be recited every night or every day. It is only to be recited after the Fajr prayer and after the Maghrib prayer, if the hadith is authentic. Some scholars say regarding such a hadith: there is no harm in acting upon it, because if it is authentic from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), then that is what is sought. And if it is not authentic, it is a supplication that does not harm the person. So it is as if the person is saying it in hope that if it is authentic, he will attain what is mentioned in the hadith, and if it is not authentic, he has not been harmed by anything. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
