Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to enter the mosque to listen to lessons?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A woman asks: Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to enter al-Masjid al-Haram or any mosque after the time of prayer in order to listen to lessons and lectures and benefit from them?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible. It is not permissible for a menstruating woman to remain in the mosque. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prevented a menstruating woman from performing tawaf around the House, because tawaf involves remaining in the place. Therefore, it is not permissible for a menstruating woman to stay in the mosque except out of dire necessity, such as if a woman is, for example, with her family and fears for her safety if she remains in the house. Likewise, if she remains in the street and says she will enter the mosque to protect herself, there is nothing wrong with that out of dire necessity.
As for anything other than dire necessity, it is not permissible. This is different from passing through the mosque; there is nothing wrong with a menstruating woman passing from one side of the mosque to the other, provided that it is ensured that the mosque will not be contaminated by her blood. Yes.
