The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "And the soul and He who proportioned it. And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
And the earth and He who spread it out, and the soul and He who proportioned it, and inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness والأرض وما طحاها ونفس وما سواها فألهمها فجورها وتقواها
This oath is among the greatest of all.
And the soul and He who proportioned it نفس وما سواها
It means that all souls were proportioned by Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in the best proportion and the best readiness to accept the truth or reject it.
And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness فألهمها فجورها وتقواها
It means that He made clear to them wickedness and made clear to them righteousness. By the hands of whom? By the hands of the messengers in one way, and by what is in the souls in another way. For this reason, Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, as is narrated from him:
What the Muslims consider good is good in the sight of Allah, and what the Muslims consider evil is evil in the sight of Allah ما رآه المسلمون حسنا فهو عند الله حسن وما رآه المسلمون قبيحا فهو عند الله قبيح
. The souls are inspired, inspired with wickedness and righteousness. They know wickedness and they know righteousness. And it is Allah the Exalted who inspired them. So who is the successful one among these?
