The reason the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed 'Umrah in Dhu al-Qa'dah and did not perform it in Rajab

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform 'Umrah in Rajab; rather, he chose to perform it in Dhu al-Qa'dah, which is one of the months of Hajj. Do you know why? Because in the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, they considered performing 'Umrah in the months of Hajj to be among the most heinous of sins, among the most heinous of sins. They would say: "When the back is healed, the trace is erased, and Safar enters, 'Umrah becomes permissible for whoever performs it". They would enter and exit the state of ihram as they pleased. "It becomes permissible for whoever performs it." They looked at this either from a perspective of worship, and their worship was invalid because they were those who associate partners with Allah, or from an economic perspective, because if people performed 'Umrah in the months of Hajj, their journey to Makkah would be one. But if it were said, "Perform 'Umrah in Rajab and leave the months of Hajj for Hajj," there would be two seasons for the people of Makkah. What are they? Rajab and the months of Hajj. But Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, who wanted to demolish what the pre-Islamic age of ignorance was upon, shifted the 'Umrah from Rajab and performed it in the months of Hajj, in order to establish in people's hearts that there is nothing wrong with performing 'Umrah during Hajj.
