The Shaykh : This surah is a ruqyah with which the sick are treated and they are healed by the permission of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). The evidence for this is: The meaning of "released from a bond" is as if a camel had its tether untied and it sprang away quickly. May the prayers and peace of Allah be upon him. Sunan Abi Dawud 3418Sahih (Al-Albani) And what does "give me a share with you" mean? What does it mean, my brothers?

The Shaykh : It means give us a portion of it. He only said that not out of need for the share, but to please their hearts. — Pay attention, my son — Then he said to the man who had recited al-Fatihah over this stung person, who was thereby cured, he said to him:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2064Sahih (Darussalam) He said that as an acknowledgment that it is a ruqyah with which the sick are treated and they are healed by the command of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). So al-Fatihah is a pillar of the prayer; the prayer is not valid without it. It is the Mother of the Qur'an and the opening of the Book, and it is that which is recited over the sick so that they are healed by the permission of Allah.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) sent out a detachment on a mission, and they stayed with a people as guests. But the people did not host them or honor them, so they withdrew to a side. Then Allah sent a scorpion upon their chief, which stung him a severe sting. They came to the Companions and said, "Is there among you anyone who can perform ruqyah?" Meaning, recite over this one who was afflicted. They said, "Yes, but we will not recite over him except for some of the sheep, because they did not honor them, and their reward is that we do not do them good because they did not do good to these." So they said, "We will not recite except for some of the sheep." They said, "Take it." So one of the detachment went to this man who had been stung a severe sting and recited Surat al-Fatihah over him. He recited Surat al-Fatihah over him, and the stung man stood up as if he had been released from a bond.
Then they took the flock of sheep, and some of them said to others, "Is it permissible for us to eat this flock?" So they held back until they came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and informed him of the matter. They said, "Is this sheep permissible for us?" He said, "Yes, and give me a share with you."
Narrated Abu Sa’id Al Khudri: Some of the Companions of Prophet (ﷺ) went on a journey. They encamped with a clan of the Arabs and sought hospitality from them, but they refused to provide them with any hospitality. The chief of the clan was stung by a scorpion or bitten by a snake. They gave him all sorts of treatment, but nothing gave him relied. One of them said: Would that you had gone to those people who encamped with you ; some of them might have something which could give you relief to your companion. (So they went and) one of them said: Our chief has been stung by a scorpion or bitten by a snake. We administered all sorts of medicine but nothing gave him relief. Has any of you anything, i.e. charm, which gives healing to our companion. One of those people said: I shall apply charm; we sought hospitality from you, but you refused to entertain us. I am not going to apply charm until you give me some wages. So they offered them a number of sheep. He then came to and recited Faithat-al-Kitab and spat until he was cured as if he were set free from a bond. Thereafter they made payment of the wages as agreed by them. They said: Apportion (the wages). The man who applied the charm said: Do not do until we come to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and consult him. So they came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) next morning and mentioned it to him. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: From where did you learn that it was a charm ? You have done right. Give me a share along with you.
