That the earth will vomit out the innermost parts of its liver, like columns of gold and silver, means that gold and silver will emerge from it in large quantities like columns. However, people will leave this behind out of fear of the evil that comes with it, such as killing, severing family ties, or the cutting off of kinship, or similar things. This has not happened yet, but it will happen, because what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us of is the truth.
The earth will vomit oblong `pieces of its liver like columns of gold and silver, and the murderer will come and say it was for this he committed murder, the breaker of family ties will come and say it was for this he broke them, and the thief will come and say it was for this his hand was cut off.
