Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A blind man who is the imam of one of the mosques says: My children live with me; some of them pray the Fajr prayer, and some do not at other times. They live with me in one house, which consists of connected apartments. I have used all methods with them but have not succeeded. Should I leave this residence and move away from them?

The Shaykh : What I see is that you should not leave the residence and move away from them, because if you move away from them, they may become more negligent regarding the prayer. And it is better for you to remain with them, looking after them, sometimes overcoming them and sometimes being overcome by them, than for you to abandon them.
For the general rule for people like this is that when they are left to themselves, they become more negligent and lazy. Also, your moving away from them may lead to the separation and fragmentation of the family.
So what I advise you to do is to remain with them, to be sincere with them, to warn them at times, to encourage them at times, and to ask Allah for their guidance.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
