Explaining the error of those who come for 'Umrah with their families, devote themselves to worship, while their families are in the markets exposed to free mixing of men and women.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Therefore, I advise you once again, a second, third, and fourth time, to think about the matter and not let emotion drive you to do things that may bring you closer to sin than to reward. Come and perform 'Umrah for a day or two, then return, and you will achieve your goal and remain with your family and children. We also hear that some people come to al-Masjid al-Haram, stand with the people in prayer, and strive to recite and remember Allah, and this is good. But they leave their own flesh and blood, their sons and daughters, roaming in the markets, and the harm that may befall them is many times greater than the reward they gain. They neglect them; they neglect the obligation that Allah has placed upon them:
O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones يا أيها الذين آمنوا قوا أنفسكم وأهليكم ناراً وقودها الناس والحجارة
[At-Tahrim 66:6]
You are responsible for your family just as you are responsible for yourself. How can you leave these foolish ones roaming in the markets, going here and there? They may be deceived, or they may be led astray, while you say, "I am sitting in al-Masjid al-Haram remembering Allah." You have left an obligatory duty and performed a recommended practice, so you will be sinful. We do not know whether this act of devotion will benefit you with Allah, or whether the sin will wipe it out. These are two points.
