A word from the Shaykh on the virtue of learning the hadiths of transactions.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : O my brothers, after this introduction, we had started last year with the Book of Sales from *Umdat al-Ahkam*, because many of the speakers who address the people speak about matters related to acts of worship. Acts of worship are the right of Allah, and the right of Allah is the greatest of rights, deserving of care and study, especially since many Muslims today are ignorant of much of the rulings of their religion. Some Muslims do not even know how to perform wudu' or how to pray. Therefore, the obligation upon students of knowledge today is greater than it was yesterday, because the means of communication and transportation have become easy, praise be to Allah. One can study or deliver a lesson here in Makkah, and people at the farthest reaches of the world can benefit from it through transportation and communication. However, few of those who address the people speak about the transactions between people, even though they are beneficial and important. If you were to ask many people about the rulings of transactions, they would not know anything except one thing: the prohibition of riba, and they would be ignorant of many of the rulings.
