The Virtue of Learning the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
He has a third question as well, in which he says: Evidence has come regarding the reward for reading the Noble Qur'an. Is there a reward for reading the Prophetic hadiths? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
Answer: Yes, reading knowledge in its entirety carries reward. Learning knowledge and seeking knowledge through the path of the Qur'an and the path of the Sunnah carries a great reward. So knowledge is taken from the Book and taken from the Sunnah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The best among you is he who learns and teaches the Qur'an.
Sunan Abi Dawud 1452Sahih (Al-Albani)
, and there are many hadiths regarding the reading of the Qur'an, among them his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Read the Qur'an, for it will come as an intercessor for its people on the Day of Resurrection
narrated by Muslim. And he said one day, may the prayers and peace be upon him:
Would any of you like to go to Batahan—a valley in Medina called Batahan—and come back with two large camels, without committing a sin or severing family ties? They said: All of us would like that, O Messenger of Allah! He said: For any of you to go to the mosque and learn two verses from the Book of Allah is better for him than two large camels, and three is better than three, and four and their number of camelsأيحب أحدكم أنن يذهب إلى بطحان -وادٍ في المدينة يقال له: بطحان- فيأتي بناقتين عظيمتين في غير إثم ولا قطيعة رحم؟
or as he said, may the prayers and peace be upon him. This indicates the virtue of learning the Qur'an and reading the Qur'an. The hadith of Ibn Mas'ud:
Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward
Riyad as-Salihin 999
. Thus, when the believer learns the Sunnah, reads the hadiths, and studies them, he will have a great reward because this is part of learning knowledge. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
he who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah would make that path easy, leading to Paradise for himمن سلك طريقًا يلتمس فيه علمًا سهل الله له به طريقًا إلى الجنة
Sahih Muslim 2699a
. This indicates that studying knowledge, memorizing hadiths, and reviewing them are among the causes of entering Paradise and being saved from the Fire. Thus, his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
He upon whom Allah intends to bestow goodness, He confers upon him an insight in religion
Sahih Muslim 1037a
agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. So understanding the religion is achieved through the path of the Book and through the path of the Sunnah. So understanding the Sunnah is among the indications that Allah intends good for the servant, just as understanding the Qur'an is an indication of that. And the evidence in this matter is abundant, and praise be to Allah. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
