The fifth hadith mentioned by Imam Abd al-Ghani al-Maqdisi, from Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: . And in another wording: .

The subject and content of this hadith is the endowment (waqf), which is called by some people the “sabil” (path).
Umar acquired land in Khaybar and came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to seek his guidance regarding it. He said, “O Messenger of Allah, I have acquired land in Khaybar, and I have never possessed wealth more precious to me than this. What do you command me to do with it?” He said, “If you wish, hold back its principal and give it in charity.” He said, “So Umar gave it in charity, on the condition that its principal not be sold, nor bequeathed, nor given as a gift.” He said, “And he gave it in charity to the poor, to relatives, to freeing slaves, in the cause of Allah, to the wayfarer, and to the guest. There is no blame on the one who manages it if he eats from it in a known manner, or feeds a friend who is not accumulating wealth from it.”
أصاب عمر أرضاً بخيبر فأتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يستأمره فيها فقال يا رسول الله إني أصبت أرضاً بخيبر لم أصب مالاً قط أنفس عندي منه فما تأمر به قال: إن شئت حبست أصلها وتصدقت بها، قال فتصدق بها عمر غير أنه لا يباع أصلها ولا يورث ولا يوهب قال: وتصدق بها في الفقراء وفي القربى وفي الرقاب وفي سبيل الله وابن السبيل والضيف لا جناح على من وليها أن يأكل منها بالمعروف أو يطعم صديقاً غير متمول فيهnot accumulating wealth from it
