Is Ramadan one of the names of Allah the Exalted?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : They say: that Ramadan is one of the names of Allah. What is the validity of this claim?

The Shaykh : It is not correct, meaning it is not correct that Ramadan is one of the names of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And for this reason, the prohibition regarding Ramadan, meaning the hadith:
Do not say Ramadan, for Ramadan is one of the names of Allah لا تقولوا رمضان فإن رمضان من أسماء الله
This is not correct.
And for this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He who fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from God will have his past sins forgiven; he who prays during the night in Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from God من صام رمضان إيمانا واحتسابا ومن قام رمضان إيامانا واحتسابا
Mishkat al-Masabih 1958
. But in the Qur'an, it is the month of Ramadan, yes.
