The Shaykh : And His saying Who is being given good tidings? The believers, as Allah the Exalted said in these verses: [Al-Ahzab 33:47] But what is the sign by which a believer can be given good tidings?
If you see this man finding ease in the right path, with obedience made easy for him, and he is carrying out the obedience of Allah, then I give him good tidings of good, for Allah the Exalted said:.
So I give him good tidings. I say: “Be given good tidings of good.” If I see him praying, giving charity, fasting, performing Hajj, and being kind to people, we give him good tidings of good. Likewise, if I see a person afflicted with calamities that keep coming upon him—calamities in his body, his family, and his wealth—and he is patient and seeking reward, not complaining, not grumbling, and not being discontented, then I give him good tidings of good.
Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:156]. Likewise, if I see a pleasant vision in him, for the true vision is a part of the forty-six parts of prophecy, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed that the good vision is the immediate good tidings of the believer.
So if I see a good vision in him, I give him good tidings. I say: “Be given good tidings. I saw in you such and such.”
And this is a sign of good. So the important thing is that the ways of giving good tidings to the believers are many.
