Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (The Day you will see the believers, men and women)]

Then Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
On the Day you see the believing men and believing womenيَوْمَ تَرَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
[Al-Hadid: 12] Meaning: Remember for the Ummah the Day, O human being, when you will see the believers, men and women, on the Day of Resurrection.
their light proceeding before them and on their rightيَسْعَى نُورُهُمْ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِمْ
[Al-Hadid 57:12]
As for the front, it is so that people may follow their example, for when light is before a person, they follow it. As for the right, it is an honor for the right hand. It will be before them and on their right.

And his statement: ((Their light will be running)) indicates that this light is according to the degree of faith; because when a ruling is attached to a description, it is strong according to the strength of that description and weak according to its weakness.
So, their light is according to their faith.

Allah the Exalted said:
Good news for you today are gardensبُشْرَاكُمُ الْيَوْمَ جَنَّاتٌ
The angels say to them: (Good news for you) meaning: what you are being given good news of (today) meaning the Day of Resurrection.
Gardensجَنَّاتٌ
And these gardens contain what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and what has not occurred to the heart of any human being.
And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyesوَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ الْأَنْفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الْأَعْيُنُ
[Surah al-Zukhruf: 71] They contain whatever they desire, as Allah the Exalted said:
They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ
[Surah Qaf: 35] And He described them as gardens, plural, of various kinds and different degrees according to the strength of faith and deeds.

And his statement:
beneath which rivers flowتَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ
[Al-Baqarah 2:25]
Meaning: they flow, and rivers is the plural of river. Allah Blessed and Exalted has clarified in Surah al-Mu'minun that they are of four types.
rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honeyأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ لَبَنٍ لَمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ خَمْرٍ لَذَّةٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ عَسَلٍ مُصَفّىً
[Surah Muhammad: 15] And these rivers do not require digging a canal or channeling; they flow on the surface of the earth wherever their people wish.Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Their rivers flow without a trench, glory to the One who holds them back from overflowing.
They do not go to the right or the left except where their people wish. And his statement:
From under themمِنْ تَحْتِهَا
A reference to the height of their palaces and trees.Meaning: These rivers will be beneath these lofty palaces and tall trees.
abiding therein foreverخَالِدِينَ فِيهَا
Meaning: abiding therein. Many verses have come indicating that this abiding is permanent, with no end, no interruption, and no change.
It is that which is the great attainment.ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
[At-Tawbah 9:72]
(That) refers to what Allah promised them, the gardens from under which rivers flow. (It is the great success) (It) is what scholars call a demonstrative pronoun of separation, which serves to emphasize and specify.Meaning: This which has been mentioned is the great success, because there is no success like it, nor any success greater than it. We ask Allah to make us and you among its people. Indeed, He is capable of all things.
