The student: ... .

The Shaykh : How?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Now, the brother cited as evidence that the Qur'an is not created the statement:
Allah is the Creator of all things
[Ar-Ra'd 13:16]
. And the statement:
and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.
[Al-Furqan 25:2]
. And we said: This is not a proof, because the point is that Allah said:
Allah is the Creator of all things
[Ar-Ra'd 13:16]
and said:
He created all things
[Al-An'am 6:101]
. The Qur'an is one of His attributes, and His attributes are part of His essence in reality, because a thing is not complete without an essence and an attribute, since it is impossible for an essence to exist without an attribute in any way. That is to say, if you thought to the utmost extent of your thinking, at the best time for thinking, and tried to conceive of an essence without an attribute, you would find no way to do so. So Allah the Exalted, with His attributes, is not created, and it is established that the Qur'an is among His attributes.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Yes
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : There is no evidence that
Until they hear the word of Allah
is evidence that the Qur'an is not created if we say that it is an attribute. Therefore, what is attributed to Allah the Exalted is divided into two categories. What is attributed to Allah is divided into two categories: a category where the essence stands by itself, or an attribute that subsists in that essence; this is created.
And the second: the second category: an attribute attributed to Allah; this is not created. This is the rule.
So the statement of Allah the Exalted:
And who are more unjust than those who prevent
[Al-Baqarah 2:114]
. And His statement:
Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who are staying [there] for worship
[Al-Baqarah 2:125]
. And His statement:
And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink."
[Ash-Shams 91:13]
. And His statement regarding 'Isa ibn Maryam:
And We breathed into it of Our Spirit
. And His statement:
And a Spirit from Him وروح منه
. And His statement regarding Adam:
breathed into him of My [created] soul
[Al-Hijr 15:29]
.
All of this is not created, because it is either an essence that stands by itself or an attribute in that essence.
The student: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his companions, and whoever follows his guidance. And after that:
So we ask Allah Mighty and Majestic to reward the Shaykh with the best reward, and to benefit us with what we have heard and learned, and to make it an argument for us, not against us.

The Shaykh : Amen.
