If a person praying sees a gap in front of him during the prayer, should he move forward to close it while he is praying?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. He says: If a person praying sees a gap in front of him during the prayer, should he move forward to close it while he is praying?

The Shaykh : Yes, yes. If a person sees a gap in the row and the row is complete except for this gap, let him move forward, because whoever connects a row, Allah connects him. But here is an issue: in al-Masjid al-Haram, you may find a gap in front of you that is wide enough for four or five men or more. Even if you went to it, you would not close it, and you are in a complete row; the row with you is complete, and the row in front of you is broken. Do you move forward, or do you stay in the compact row? The second option: stay in the compact row. Because the row you are in now is connected, and the row in front of you, even if you moved forward, what? You would not connect to it. And if you moved forward, the row you are in would be broken first. So you would break the row you are in and not connect to the row you moved to. Is that clear, everyone? We say: stay in your connected row and do not move forward to the broken one, because the connected row is better. Yes.
