A man who frequently experiences pre-seminal fluid and has intrusive thoughts: is he required to verify its presence before or after prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This man says about himself that he is one who experiences pre-seminal fluid. When he speaks or looks at his wife after purifying himself and going out to the mosque, he sometimes feels the release of pre-seminal fluid. He says: “I have intrusive thoughts about this. Am I required to verify the release of pre-seminal fluid, whether after or before prayer? And do I have to repeat the prayer if it is confirmed to me that…”

The Shaykh : As long as he has intrusive thoughts, no account is taken of the intrusive thoughts. He should ignore this and turn away from it until he is certain. However, if he is certain, he must do what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) to do: wash his penis and his testicles and perform the ablution. As he (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
I was a man who experienced pre-seminal fluid كنت رجلاً مذاءً
Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said this. He was shy to ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), because of his daughter’s position with him, since Fatimah was Ali’s wife, and this is a matter concerning women. So he (may Allah be pleased with him) was shy to ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it. Then he ordered al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad to ask him, and he said:
He washes his penis and performs the ablution يغسل ذكره ويتوضأ
It is reported in sources other than the two Sahihs:
He washes his penis and his testicles يغسل ذكره والأنثيين
The scholars said: “The benefit of washing the penis and the testicles, even if the pre-seminal fluid did not cover them, is that washing them cuts off the pre-seminal fluid.” Yes. The time has ended. May Allah reward you, and until we meet again, if Allah wills, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and all his Companions.
