What are the conditions for victory in Islamic jihad?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah forgive you. In our days, in the present time, we are anticipating war, and knowledge is with Allah. So what do you advise us, or advise the person, regarding this? The causes today, like the jihad that preceded in the time of the righteous Salaf, were not possible except that Allah guided the Muslims to what the Companions were upon.

The Shaykh : It is not possible.

The questioner : That Allah will return the Muslims to victory...

The Shaykh : We say: Victory in jihad or in fighting does not occur except with its conditions, and Allah the Exalted has explained His conditions in His saying:
And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might. (41) [And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong
[Al-Hajj 22:40-41]
.
If these causes are fulfilled, victory is attained. But if one of them is lacking, victory is missed to the extent of what is lacking. As for your saying that war is expected these days, where did you get this from?

The questioner : From the multitude, the multitude of causes that we observe, and the truth is that the person becomes like this.

The Shaykh : I mean, your intention is preparation for something, even if it may not be near, and knowledge is with Allah Mighty and Majestic.

The questioner : The second is that the person unifies his intention and his work for the sake of attaining martyrdom.

The Shaykh : And
Whoever fought so that the Word of Allah is supreme, then he is in Allah's cause.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1646Sahih (Darussalam)
,
Whoever fought so that the Word of Allah is supreme
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1646Sahih (Darussalam)
this is the criterion.
Because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked
About the man who fights for bravery, and fights for pride, and fights to be seen in his place, which of that is in the path of Allah? He said: Whoever fights so that the word of Allah is supreme, he is in the path of Allah.
