Is it permissible to accept samples of medicines and pens given by pharmaceutical companies to doctors and pharmacists as a gift, which include the company's advertising?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. Some pharmaceutical companies provide samples of medicines, pens, notes, and books that carry advertising for pharmaceutical companies. They provide these samples and medicines to doctors and pharmacists. Is it permissible to accept them or not?

The Shaykh : Yes, there is nothing wrong with it. I say: there is nothing wrong with it, as long as it is not in the nature of a bribe. If it is in the nature of a bribe, then it is not permissible.
As for if it is in the nature of advertising for it, and it is a legitimate institution in which there is nothing forbidden, then there is nothing wrong with it.
