What is the ruling on seeking the help of the jinn?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some of them, O Shaykh, seek the help of the jinn. They say: "This is a righteous man I have in the mosque."

The Shaykh : Yes, exactly.

The questioner : ... and he is proficient in the Qur'an, a hundred out of a hundred. We say: "Seek help from Allah." He says: "No, we also seek the help of the righteous jinn." So what makes them know that these are righteous?

The Shaykh : The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And assisting a man to ride upon his beast, or helping him load his luggage upon it, is a Sadaqa تعين الرجل في دابته فتحمله عليها أو ترفع له عليها متاعه صدقة
Sahih Muslim 1009
So seeking the help of a created being in what it is capable of is permissible and there is no blame in it.

The questioner : But are they not liars?

The Shaykh : As for the matter of their lying or their truthfulness, this is looked into. In any case, they are unknown, unknown. Their claim that they are righteous is examined: does he command his companion to do good or to do evil?
It has reached me that some of the people in whom there are jinn, when one comes to him at the end of the night, wakes him up to perform the late-night prayer and helps him. If he is late for the congregational prayer, he rebukes him. A person like this, his state indicates his righteousness.

The questioner : Some of those who recite say: "He is a Tabi'i, O Shaykh." Has anyone known a Companion of the jinn?

The Shaykh : Yes, Allah knows best, Allah knows best.
In any case, their lifespans are long. The historians mentioned that a jinn met the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) on one of the mountains of Makkah and asked him, saying: "I was young when Qabil killed Habil." Allah knows best, Allah knows best.
Well, O Shaykh, the last point here regarding the religion: does a man take out a loan in order to get married?

The Shaykh : And this hadith was mentioned by the historians, and I do not know about its authenticity either.

The questioner : Yes, exactly.
