Is it obligatory for one who sits in the mosque waiting for the sunrise after the Fajr prayer to sit in the prayer spot where he prayed Fajr, and if he leaves it for an urgent matter such as going to...

The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Noble Shaykh, does sitting until the sunrise obligate the one who prayed to remain in the prayer spot where he prayed Fajr? And if he is keen on the reward, but there is an obstacle such as going to the university, or an urgent matter that arises for him while he wants the reward, but this urgent matter presents itself to him at this time?

The Shaykh : Sitting in the Fajr prayer spot until the sun rises and then praying two rak'ahs is not obligatory, but it is a recommended practice (sunnah) that is encouraged. So if an obligatory duty conflicts with it, or if something better than it conflicts with it, such as seeking knowledge, let him go to what is better. That is, if someone were to say: Should I sit in my place here in the mosque until the sun rises and pray two rak'ahs, or should I go to a circle of knowledge in another mosque?
We said: Going to a circle of knowledge is better, and so is the university. If the university lessons are lessons of Islamic sacred law (Shari'ah), it is better than remaining in your prayer spot until the sun rises.
