Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This questioner, Ibrahim Abdullah, is Egyptian and resides in Riyadh. He says: What is the authenticity of this hadith:
Whoever prays Fajr in congregation and remains in his place of prayer until the sun rises, and then prays two rak'ahs, he has the reward of a complete Hajj and 'Umrah, complete.من صلى الفجر في جماعة وبقي في مصلاه حتى تطلع الشمس، ثم صلى ركعتين كان له أجر حجة وعمرة تامة تامة
What is the authenticity of that?
Answer: This has come through many chains and there is no harm in it; it is from the category of a good hadith. In it is a great reward. If one sits and remembers Allah, glorifies Him, and recites until the sun rises, and then prays two rak'ahs, he has this great reward. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sit after the prayer until the sun rose, mostly with a good rising, peace and blessings be upon him. Yes.
