If a da'iyah goes out with the intention of guiding the entire world, will he be recorded the reward of everyone who is guided?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The questioner : Your Eminence, we have heard from some scholars that if a person walks with the thought of calling people to Allah the Exalted, and his intention is that the entire world be guided and enter the religion, and he walks with the thought and concern for this Ummah, then every person who enters this religion will have a share in his reward. Is this correct?

The Shaykh : How?

The questioner : That is, a person's intention is that he leaves his home to call people to Allah the Exalted, but he does not go to all the countries; however, his intention is that the entire world be guided. So, does every person who enters the religion have a share in the reward and recompense by virtue of his entry?

The Shaykh : No. If a person has no effect in bringing others into the religion of Allah, he does not have their reward. The reward is only for the one who guides to good and assists in good. As for the one who intends good, he undoubtedly has the reward of the intention, because he loves that Allah guide the creation. However, the reward of every person who believes is not recorded for him. Yes?

The questioner : Your Eminence, they cite the hadith in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Indeed, there are people in Madinah who, wherever you traveled a distance or crossed a valley, they were with you. إن قوماً بـ المدينة ما سرتم مسيراً ولا قطعتم وادياً إلا وهم معكم
And in another narration:
They have the reward. لهم الأجر
Meaning: that Allah recorded for them the reward based on their intention to be with the Messenger in this expedition. So, did Allah the Exalted record for them the reward?

The Shaykh : Yes. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) explained that an excuse prevented them. So, had it not been for the excuse, they would have gone out with the mujahideen and the reward of this deed would have been recorded for them, but they did not catch up with them.

The questioner : And this is the person's purpose; that is, his intention is that he exerts his energy. He says, "If Allah gave me the energy, I would travel around the entire world and convey the religion of Allah the Exalted until the world is guided." So his intention is how the entire world would enter the religion of Islam, and he exerts all the energy or knowledge he has and conveys as much as Allah gave him of energy.

The Shaykh : No, the analogy is not valid, because the issue of the expedition is a specific matter, whereas this is a general matter.
