Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The questioner : This is a case where a man said the taslim before the imam. After he sought forgiveness, he remembered that he was a ma'mum. He completed the prayer. Does he repeat the prayer?

The Shaykh : How did he complete his prayer?

The questioner : Did he say the taslim before the imam said the taslim?

The Shaykh : Did he say the taslim before the imam said the taslim, thinking that the imam had already said it?

The questioner : No, he forgot. He noticed after seeking forgiveness, completed the prayer with the imam, and said the taslim with the imam. Is his prayer valid, or does he not repeat it?

The Shaykh : Did he miss anything?

The questioner : No.

The Shaykh : He owes nothing. This man was required to perform sujud al-sahw because he said the taslim before the prayer was completed. However, since he did not miss anything from the prayer, he owes nothing, because the imam bears the sujud al-sahw for the ma'mum if the ma'mum did not miss anything from the prayer.
