Is the Friday prayer combined with the 'Asr prayer?
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is the 'Asr prayer combined with it?
The Shaykh : The Friday prayer is not combined with the 'Asr prayer, because the Friday prayer is an independent prayer; what comes after it is not combined with it, nor is it combined with what comes after it so that it is delayed. The Sunnah regarding combining prayers is only for combining Dhuhr and 'Asr, not for combining Friday and 'Asr. As we know, the Friday prayer differs from Dhuhr in many matters.
