The reciter: Adam narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us, saying: al-Hakam narrated to us, saying: I heard Abu Juhayfah say:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us at the time of the midday heat, and water for ablution was brought to him, so he performed ablution. The people would take from the leftover water of his ablution and wipe themselves with it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed the midday prayer in two units and the afternoon prayer in two units, with a spear in front of him.
خرج علينا رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلم بالهاجرة فأتي بوضوء فتوضأ فجعل الناس يأخذون من فضل وضوئه فيتمسحون به ، فصلى النبي صلّى الله عليه وسلم الظهر ركعتين والعصر ركعتين وبين يديه عنزة
