Explanation of the Book of Prayer and Its Times-02a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Muhammad ibn 'Urayrah narrated to us, saying: Umar ibn Abi Zayd narrated to me from 'Awun ibn Abi Juhaynah from his father, who said:
I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in a red leather tent and I saw Bilal taking the remaining water with which the Prophet had performed ablution.
Sahih al-Bukhari 376

The Shaykh : He took, he took.
The reader:
I saw Bilal taking the remaining water of the ablution
Sahih al-Bukhari 5859
.

The Shaykh : Ablution
The reader:
with which the Prophet had performed ablution. I saw the people taking the utilized water impatiently and whoever got some of it rubbed it on his body
Sahih al-Bukhari 376

The Shaykh : What? What?
The reciter:
and whoever got some of it rubbed it on his body and those who could not get any took the moisture from the others' hands. Then I saw Bilal carrying a short spear (or stick) which he planted in the ground. The Prophet came out tucking up his red cloak, and led the people in prayer and offered two rak`at (facing the Ka`ba) taking a short spear (or stick) as a Sutra for his prayer. I saw the people and animals passing in front of him beyond the stick.
Sahih al-Bukhari 376
.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : ... we correct it.

The Shaykh : The apparent correct pronunciation is with the fathah (open vowel), but if you repeat the hadith, that is good, because it is excellent.
The reciter: Chapter: Praying in a red garment.

The Shaykh : This hadith took place in al-Abtah when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) descended during the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage, before he went out to Mina. It was
in a red leather tent
Sahih Muslim 503b
made of skins under which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) would take shade, and
Bilal was taking the ablution water of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and I saw the people [taking] his ablution water
it refers to the leftover water from his ablution,
and I saw the people racing, with one another to get that ablution water. If anyone got some of it, he rubbed himself with it
Sahih Muslim 503b
which they sought blessing from,
and those who could not get any took the moisture from the others' hands. Then I saw Bilal carrying a short spear
Sahih al-Bukhari 376
and the spear is a lance with a point at its tip, meaning a sharpened piece of metal,
which he planted in the ground. The Prophet came out tucking up his red cloak
Sahih al-Bukhari 376
