His statement: (I do not have control over my mind) — does the unconscious person have the prayer and fasting dropped from him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : Why?

The questioner : I do not know.

The Shaykh : It is possible, and it may be said:
I do not have control over my mind لا أعقل
meaning the apparent intellect, meaning I do not perceive, like a sleeping person. However, the unconscious person, in terms of the ruling, must make up the fast but does not make up the prayer according to the stronger opinion. The school of thought holds that he must make up both the fast and the prayer. The correct view is that he does not make up the prayer unless the unconsciousness was caused by himself, such as by anesthesia.
