What is the ruling on fasting in Rajab, the fifteenth of Sha'ban, and standing in prayer during their nights?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : You are asking about the ruling on fasting in Rajab and the fifteenth of the month of Sha'ban...

The Shaykh : About fasting on what?

The questioner : About Rajab, fasting in Rajab.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : And the fifteenth of Sha'ban and standing in prayer during their nights?

The Shaykh : All of this has no basis regarding fasting in Rajab; like other days, it is not distinguished by fasting, and its nights are not distinguished by standing in prayer. As for Sha'ban, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast frequently in it, but he did not single out the fifteenth day of it. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
He used to fast most of it كان أكثر ما يصوم
meaning: in voluntary fasting
Sha'ban شعبان
.
As for what has become widespread among the common people that the middle night of Sha'ban has a specific late-night prayer, its day has a specific fast, and that deeds are written for the entire year on that night, all of this has no sound basis to rely upon. Yes.

The questioner : From the questions of this questioner, she says.
