Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I have a non-Muslim neighbor, O honorable Shaykh, and on some occasions he sends me food and sweets from time to time. Is it permissible for me to eat from that and feed my children? I hope for your guidance on this?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is permissible for you to eat from a disbeliever's gift if you trust him, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted the gift of a Jewish woman who gave him a sheep, and he also accepted the invitation of a Jew who invited him to his house, and he ate from it, peace and blessings be upon him. So there is no blame in accepting gifts from disbelievers or eating in their houses, but on the condition that they are trustworthy. If there is fear from them, then their invitations are not accepted.
Likewise, it is also required that it not be a religious occasion, such as Christmas or the like. In this case, gifts given on that occasion are not accepted from them. Yes.

The questioner : In a final segment, a listener named 'Abd from Libya says.
