And for His sake, the attributes of His perfection were denied *** and the Throne was emptied of the Most Merciful (The cause of figurative interpretation)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And for His sake, the attributes of His perfection were denied *** and the Throne was emptied of the Most Merciful"
The attributes of perfection were denied by what? By figurative interpretation. Why? They said, "Because if we affirmed an attribute, it would necessitate that He is a body, and bodies are similar to one another." Some of them said, "If we affirmed an eternal attribute, it would necessitate the multiplicity of eternal beings." This is greater than the shirk (associating partners with Allah) of the Christians. The Christians made the gods multiple, but if you affirm an eternal attribute for Allah, you make Him like thousands of examples. If you affirm for Allah an eternal hearing, an eternal sight, an eternal power, an eternal life, an eternal strength, and an eternal might, how many is that? Six. And whatever attribute you add, you add to the partners. So they say, "This is shirk." Therefore, we must deny every attribute; we must deny every attribute. So, for the sake of this figurative interpretation, they denied the attributes of perfection.
