(The Characteristics of the People of Innovation) He sees turbans with tails upon *** those husks with long collars, and he sees a form that does not terrify the one who sees, *** but terrifies the blind in the clothes of a coward

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"He sees turbans with tails upon *** those husks with long collars"
Imagine these scholars coming with long-collared turbans, meaning they have a long collar that reaches the thighs. Yes, they are long-collared, but on whom? On the husks of people. But the ignorant caliph thinks that these are great scholars, so he takes their words.
"And he sees a form that does not terrify the one who sees, *** but terrifies the blind in the clothes of a coward"
"Al-Hayula" means the appearance. He sees a grand appearance, great scholars, yes, they came with this pomp, but it does not terrify the one who sees, because he knows that there is nothing under the clothes but ruin. Rather, it terrifies whom? The blind coward.
"So when he inclines his ear to them, they fill it with *** lies and deception and with slander" I seek refuge in Allah. "Inclines his ear to them" means? He listened to them and paid attention.
"So he sees and hears their evil and their chatter, *** O trial of the two eyes and the two ears"
"Al-Fashr" and "al-Fishar" is the long, polished talk, but there is no benefit under it. If a person hears it, he thinks it is good and correct, but it is the opposite.
