The Meaning of the Poet's Words: "So praise be to Allah who has spared His servant *** from what He has afflicted you with, O people of knowledge. For this reason, they cast the Book behind them *** and followed in the footsteps of every wretched one"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"So praise be to Allah who has spared His servant *** from what He has afflicted you with, O people of knowledge"
Yes, by Allah, praise be to Allah who has spared us from what He afflicted them with. And in His saying:
"O people of knowledge" is clear irony, for they are the furthest people from knowledge and from true understanding, but this is a matter of irony.
"For this reason, they cast the Book behind them *** and followed in the footsteps of every wretched one"
Yes, they cast the Book of Allah behind their backs, but they walked in the footsteps of every wretched one, meaning: their sheikhs whom they revere and whose words they prioritize over the word of Allah and His Messenger.
"And for that reason, they turned to the Sunnahs that *** came, and their people are those full of malice"
"Ghawu" means "they became," "ghawu" is used like "ghada" (they became) in the sense of "they did the work of," the waw is a nominative particle and "dhawi adhdhan" (those full of malice) is its predicate, meaning: they became those full of malice toward the Sunnah and toward the people of the Sunnah. Good.
"They falsely accuse them of every great sin *** may they be far from the lies of one who slanders"
These people falsely accuse the people of hadith of every great sin. And what did they say? They called them anthropomorphists, likeners, literalists, upstarts, the dregs of the common people, and so on. Yes.
