The Meaning of Allah’s Saying: “And call to witness from among your men those who are just, and establish the testimony for Allah.”

The Shaykh : Allah the Exalted said: regarding divorce and taking back a wife. And His saying: means those who are upright in religion and character, because the just one is the one who is upright in his religion and his character. The address in His saying “establish the testimony” includes the witnesses and includes the one who calls for testimony, because the one who calls for testimony has established the testimony and obeyed the command of Allah, and the witness who delivers what he witnessed according to the extent of his knowledge is also one who establishes the testimony.
