(Explanation of the report of 'Umar when he heard people raising their voices at the grave of the Messenger of Allah) Speak with knowledge, not mere assertion, and bring evidence, for we have minds

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Speak with knowledge, not mere assertion, and bring evidence, for we have minds
Or did not those before you say"

Yes.
"Or did not those before you say to the one who raises his voice around the grave with denial:
Do not raise your voices; the sanctity of his slave, though dead, is like the sanctity of the living"

That is, in the state of life. This is mentioned in a report from 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that a group of people from al-Ta'if came to the mosque of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and they began to speak and raise their voices. So he called them and said:
If you were not from outside this land, I would have hurt you with a beating لولا أنكم من غير هذا البلد لأوجعتكم ضربا
This is what he said or its meaning,
Narrated Abu Bakr bin `Aiyash: Sufyan at-Tammar told me that he had seen the grave of the Prophet (ﷺ) elevated and convex. أترفعون أصواتكم عند قبر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Sahih al-Bukhari 1390b
but this is in the way of what? In the way of respect and good manners.
