The Meaning of the Poet's Words: "And his wives are lawful to us after him *** and the wealth is divided between the two shares. This is while the earth devours his flesh *** and its beasts along with the tribe of worms"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And his wives" means: the wives of the martyr who was killed in the cause of Allah
"are lawful to us after him ***"
If he were alive in this worldly life, his wives would not be lawful to us. Good.
"*** and the wealth is divided between the two shares"
After his death. If he were alive in this worldly life, his wealth would not be divided, and it would not be permissible to encroach upon it.
"This is while the earth devours his flesh *** and its beasts along with the tribe of worms"
The earth does not devour the living person, and he is on the surface of the earth, not inside it being eaten. But despite that, he is alive.
"But despite that, he is alive and rejoicing *** taking delight in the favor of the Most Merciful"
Allah the Exalted said:
Rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. فرحين بما آتاهم الله من فضله ويستبشرون بالذين لم يلحقوا بهم من خلفهم ألا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون
[Ali 'Imran 3:170]
They are dead in their bodies but alive in their spirits. Yes.
