The Meaning of the Poet's Saying: "Let not the clattering and crashing alarm you *** nor the noise that is devoid of proof; they have nothing to frighten you with but this *** that mangonel which severs the pillars"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The author said:
"Let not the clattering and crashing alarm you *** nor the noise that is devoid of proof"
Clattering is the sound of dry leather and the like making a clattering noise, and crashing is a sound weaker than that, from which comes their saying "the cracking of the fingers." Noise is in speech, or it is the sound, from which comes their saying "You hear the noise but see no grinding". He says these sounds, the crashing, the clattering, and the noise, are all devoid of proof.
"They have nothing to frighten you with but this *** that mangonel which severs the pillars"
Or which severs the pillars, meaning it is a mangonel, but it has no pillars, so it does not stand firm.
"And it is what they call the composition, which is *** upright upon affirmation since a long time ago"
They call it, meaning they name it, the composition. This is what they have.
