The Shaykh :"Do not make affirmation a likening of Him *** O sect of deception and tyranny"
These are the ones who denied the divine attributes; they claimed that anyone who affirms an attribute for Allah is what? A one who likens Him to creation. Then they said: Based on this, it is not permissible to affirm an attribute for Allah, because if we affirmed an attribute for Allah, we would fall into likening Him to creation. They confuse the common people and say, for example, if a man hears someone say: "Allah has two hands," he screams, "I seek refuge in Allah! You have likened Him to creation, you have committed shirk, you have become a disbeliever, you have worshipped an idol." He screams in his face. When the common people hear this, what do they say? They say: "Our master is truthful," and they clap behind him. And so they confuse the common people with this.
"How much you patch up with the ladder of negation *** the denial"
His saying "the denial" means "to the denial"; the letter lam means "to." It means: How much you patch up with the ladder of negation to the denial. You deny the divine attributes while claiming that you purify Him.
"promoting it to the blind".
