(Mention of two verses that the Shaykh of Islam used to recite regarding the state of this world) And indeed, it has turned away from its companions *** So happiness has settled in the Pleiades from it, and no hope is placed in it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And indeed, it has turned away from its companions *** So happiness has settled in the Pleiades from it"
It turned away from its companions in reality or in ruling. In reality... no, I do not say: all of it. In reality, if its owner is poor. When we were young, we used to make a comparison. If a person becomes... they said: This is like the poor Christians, having neither this world nor religion. Yes, so it turns away from its companions in reality if they did not enjoy it, or in ruling if they did enjoy it, because they will soon part with this enjoyment. Good.
"No hope is placed in it for the loyalty to its youth ***" Its youth, meaning: its lover.
"*** Where is loyalty from a treacherous table"
The answer: It does not exist. A treacherous table cannot be loyal to you.
"It was stamped with turbidity, so how can it be attained *** Pure? Is this ever possible"
The answer is no. As long as it is stamped with its nature of turbidity, how can it become pure? And the Shaykh of Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) often used to recite these two verses:
"It was stamped with turbidity, and you want it *** Pure from impurities and turbidity
And he who burdens the days with the opposite of their natures *** seeking a spark of fire in the water "

Two great verses by which a person consoles himself. Yes?
He says:
"It was stamped with turbidity, and you want it *** Pure from impurities and turbidity
And he who burdens the days with the opposite of their natures *** seeking a spark of fire in the water "

The one who seeks a spark of fire in the water, what is that? It is not possible, it does not happen. Even a spark of fire in the water is extinguished; it never remains.
The author of al-Furu' (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "And our Shaykh often used to recite these two verses". Who was his Shaykh? Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him). And he suffered from turbidity, yes, more than anyone else among the people, except a little. But this turbidity that he suffered (may Allah have mercy on him) became purity. He became an imam for the people to this day. To this day, people follow him and speak with his words. May Allah have mercy on him and join us and you with him and the righteous. He says:
"It was stamped with turbidity, so how can it be attained *** Pure? Is this ever possible"
