The Shaykh : All the life that has passed before this hour of ours is as if it were a single hour, as if we had not lived in it. The matter is but a few days, then a departure, and the time of action ends to become the time of recompense. But be patient, O patient one, until you attain what the patient attain.
Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account." إنما يوفى الصابرون أجرهم بغير حساب
[Az-Zumar 39:10]
This is a clear matter. Look at your fathers, look at your brothers who are older than you, look at your peers, look at those who are younger than you. They have all departed from this world as if they had never been created in it.
"While the man is seen in it as a messenger, *** until he is seen as one of the messages"
And it is but an hour, then these hardships will pass. Be patient with them. Be patient in restraining your self from its desires. Be patient in the obligatory duties that Allah has commanded you to perform. Be patient in the calamities that befall you from your self, or from Allah the Mighty and Majestic, or from people. Be patient until you attain the abode of rest. We ask Allah to write for us and for you this abode.
The student: Amen.

The Shaykh : O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad. Yes.
