Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said, may Allah have mercy on him:
"And from between her desire and her ignorance, she composed measurements of falsehood"
"What is between her desire", meaning her inclination, and "her ignorance", meaning her lack of knowledge, means that from the soul's inclination and its ignorance, measurements of falsehood are generated, meaning false analogies, such as preferring this over that, and preferring this over that, just as they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter.
"And she sought aid from it for satisfaction with the lowest immediate thing over the promised thing after a time"
The immediate, lowest good is the worldly life, and the promised reward after time is the Hereafter.
"And it came from interpretation every suitable thing for her intent, O softness of faith"
It means that she followed everything that suited her because of these interpretations and defective analogies she had, and she forgot the Hereafter.
"And she inclined to the doubts of the people of shirk (associating partners with Allah) and ta'til (denial of the divine attributes), along with a deficiency in recognition"
