Or like a mirage that appears to the thirsty in *** the midst of the heat at the level of the valleys (a fourth example of the state of this world)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Or like a mirage that appears to the thirsty in *** the midst of the heat at the level of the valleys"
A mirage: if you are in a wide valley, you think that this valley is water, is that not so?
But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing والذين كفروا أعمالهم كسراب بقيعة يحسبه الظمآن ماءً حتى إذا جاءه لم يجده شيئاً
[An-Nur 24:39]
And if you go out on summer days and the heat arrives, which is the middle of the day, and you see the valleys, you think they are water, but they are not. So when a person is in the heat of the sun, in the dryness of the liver, and in severe thirst, you find him fleeing from here and there to these valleys, thinking they are water, only to find they are nothing. So this is the world and its delusion.
