And as for the fitrah (the innate natural disposition): because sound souls are naturally inclined and disposed to love Allah, magnify Him, and worship Him.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And as for the fitrah (the innate natural disposition): because sound souls are naturally inclined and disposed to love Allah, magnify Him, and worship Him. Would one love, magnify, and worship anyone except one whom one knows to be described with attributes of perfection befitting His lordship and divinity?" Absolutely not. All souls are naturally inclined to that, to loving Allah and magnifying Him, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:
Every child is born with a true faith of Islam
Sahih al-Bukhari 1385
If it were not for the bad environment surrounding a person, he would remain on his fitrah (the innate natural disposition), upright upon the religion of Allah. But the bad environment has an effect, as mentioned in the hadith:
and his parents convert him to Judaism or Christianity or Magianism
Sahih al-Bukhari 1385
Good.
"And if an attribute is a deficiency with no perfection in it, it is impossible for Allah the Exalted, such as death, ignorance, forgetfulness, incapacity, blindness, and deafness" This is a reference to what we mentioned before. Do you remember it? We said that what is attributed to Allah has three states, and the author mentioned them here. If an attribute is a deficiency with no perfection in it, it is impossible for Allah the Exalted, such as death. Death is a deficiency.
And the second is: ignorance, forgetfulness, incapacity, blindness, and deafness, and the like. "For Allah Blessed and Exalted said:
And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die
[Al-Furqan 25:58]
"
The point is His saying:
does not die لا يموت
"And His saying:
in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." في كتاب لا يضل ربي ولا ينسى
[Taha 20:52]
"
"Does not err" means He does not have ignorance and He does not forget. He does not forget what He knew first. So the knowledge of the created, my brothers, is surrounded by two defects: ignorance preceding knowledge, and forgetfulness following knowledge. As for the knowledge of Allah, it is free from both. "And Allah Blessed and Exalted said:
But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth
[Fatir 35:44]
"
This is a negation of what? Incapacity. "And He the Exalted said:
Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private conversations? Yes, [We do], and Our messengers are with them recording.
[Az-Zukhruf 43:80]
"
This is a negation of deafness. "And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the Dajjal (the false messiah):
He is blind in one eye, and your Lord is not blind in one eye
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2245Sahih (Darussalam)
"
The point is "your Lord is not one-eyed," which implies that He has two eyes. Also, "His saying, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
O people! Be merciful to yourselves (i.e. don't raise your voice), for you are not calling a deaf or an absent one
Sahih al-Bukhari 2992
"
He said this when the Companions raised their voices in glorification and takbir (saying Allahu akbar), but it was a disturbing raising of voice. He said:
O people! Be merciful to yourselves
Sahih al-Bukhari 2992
meaning, ease up on it.
for you are not calling a deaf or an absent one
Sahih al-Bukhari 2992
Who is it for whom one raises the voice strongly? The deaf one or the absent one. If he were hearing while absent, he would not be deaf, but he would not hear you. That is why he said: "nor absent."
"And Allah the Exalted punished those who described Him with deficiency".
Yes, indeed. To Allah belongs the highest description in the heavens and the earth. Is it not present in the copy? Add it, because it is in Surat al-Nahl (The Beehives):
and for Allah is the highest attribute. And He is Exalted in Might, the Wise.
[An-Nahl 16:60]
. Yes, yes. What is it?
