Continuation of the benefits of the hadith: (Seven are shaded by Allah in His Shade on a day when there is no shade except His: a just ruler, a young man who grew up in the worship of his Lord, and a man whose heart is attached to the)

The Shaykh : Love for the sake of Allah and hatred for the sake of Allah. Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, forms an alliance for the sake of Allah, hates for the sake of Allah, and forms an enmity for the sake of Allah, has attained the friendship of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And how many are the lovers for the sake of Allah, and praise be to Allah. You will find two people between whom there is no kinship or prior acquaintance, but obedience unites them, so he loves her for the sake of Allah, not for anything else. This is also among the causes by which Allah shades a person in His Shade on a day when there is no shade except His. We ask Allah to grant us and you a share of these qualities. Indeed, He is capable of all things. And the rest, if Allah wills, will be in the next lesson.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. We are in the midst of discussing the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Muwatta Malik 51:14 We have reached his saying: Sahih al-Bukhari 660 Is that not so? And this is the last of these seven. So there are questions about this. First, is the shade here the shade of Allah Himself? The answer is no, and this is impossible. Second, are these specified by identity or by description? By description. Third, can these characteristics be gathered in one person? They can be gathered in one person. Good. If they are gathered in one person, how is the shade? Is it seven shades or one shade? It is one shade. And it appears that if the cause for one shade is present and things increase, it appears that he is given an increase in reward other than the shade. And if a woman who is not beautiful invites a man and he says, "I fear Allah," does he get this reward?
The students: No.
The Shaykh : Why? Because it is restricted by the condition of beauty, and because beauty is stronger in prompting a man to respond than one who is not beautiful. Good. A man gave charity and saw that it was in the public interest to announce it so that people would follow his example. Does he lose this reward or not? It appears he does not lose it, because he announced it here for a benefit. So his saying "and he concealed it" is based on the fact that secrecy is better. But if announcing it is better, he is not deprived of this reward. And if the charity is zakah and not voluntary, does it fall under this hadith? He gave charity. It appears it falls under it, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:[At-Tawbah 9:60] And zakah is called charity. Good. If two men loved each other for the sake of Allah, but sometimes a bit of personal dislike arises between them due to some cause, then it disappears, do they fall out of this hadith? Based on what? Based on the original state, because two men may love each other for the sake of Allah, then a grudge may arise between them at some time, so one of them dislikes the other in that state, then he returns to loving him for the sake of Allah. Yes.
