Explanation of the words of Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding what he quoted: "

The Shaykh : The author mentioned the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: : These are seven, and the meaning of "seven" is not the number, meaning that they are only seven individuals, but rather they are seven categories, because they may be a number that only Allah the Mighty and Majestic can count.
And we are discussing the reason for which the author cited the hadith, because this hadith has come before us and we have explained it previously, but we are discussing a matter in which many of the ignorant have erred, which is his saying:Muwatta Malik 51:14 : where they mistakenly assumed, out of their ignorance, that this is the shade of Allah Himself, and that Allah the Exalted shades them from the sun with His own Self, Mighty and Majestic. This is a wrong and deniable understanding, said by some of the self-styled scholars who say that the methodology of the people of the Sunnah is to take the texts at their apparent meaning. It is asked: Where is the apparent meaning? Where is the apparent meaning of the hadith that the Lord, Exalted and Majestic, shades them from the sun? For this would imply that the sun is above Allah the Mighty and Majestic, and this is a deniable thing that no one from the people of the Sunnah says. But the problem of people, especially in this age, is that when a person understands, he does not know how to apply it, and when he understands a matter, he thinks he has encompassed all knowledge.
And it is obligatory for a person to know his own standing, and not to speak, especially in the chapter of attributes, except with what he knows from the Book of Allah, the Sunnah of His Messenger, and the words of the Imams.
And the meaning of:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1306Sahih (Darussalam) or Muwatta Malik 51:14 : means the shade that no one can provide at that time, because at that time no building is built, no tree is planted, no sand is piled up, and no stones are arranged; there is nothing. Allah the Mighty and Majestic said: [Taha 20:105-107] .
And nothing shades the creation from the sun, no building, no tree, no stone, or anything else.
But Allah the Mighty and Majestic creates something with which He shades whom He wills of His servants, on a day when there is no shade except His Shade. This is the meaning of the hadith, and it is not permissible for it to have any meaning other than this.
And the point of this hadith for this chapter is his saying:Sahih al-Bukhari 660 : meaning that love passed between them, but it is love for the sake of Allah, not for wealth, not for status, not for lineage, nor for anything else; it is only the love of Allah the Mighty and Majestic. He saw him standing in the obedience of Allah, avoiding the prohibitions of Allah, so he loved him for that. This is what falls under this hadith: .
And his saying:Sahih al-Bukhari 660
And in this is an indication that those who love each other for the sake of Allah are not cut off in their love for Allah by any of the matters of this world, but rather they are lovers for the sake of Allah, and nothing separates them except death. Even if one of them makes a mistake against the other, or falls short in the right of the other, that does not matter, because he only loved him for the sake of Allah the Mighty and Majestic. However, he corrects his mistake and clarifies his shortcoming, because this is part of the completion of sincere advice. So we ask Allah to make us and you among those who love each other for His sake, and who cooperate in righteousness and piety, for He is Generous and Bountiful.
The reader: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted: "From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 2566 , narrated by Muslim.
And from him (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Ibn Majah 3692Sahih (Darussalam) .

From al-Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with them both), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said regarding the Ansar:Sahih Muslim 75 , agreed upon.
And from Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Allah the Exalted said.
Seven will be shaded by Allah in His Shade on a day when there is no shade except His Shade: a just ruler, a young man who grew up in the obedience of Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the mosques, two men who loved each other for the sake of Allah, meeting and parting for that sake, a man who was invited by a woman of status and beauty, and he said, "I fear Allah," and a man who remembered Allah in seclusion and his eyes overflowed with tears.
And we are discussing the reason for which the author cited the hadith, because this hadith has come before us and we have explained it previously, but we are discussing a matter in which many of the ignorant have erred, which is his saying:

يوم لا ظل إلا ظلهwhom Allah will shade in His shade
(105) And they ask you about the mountains, so say, "My Lord will blow them away with a blast. (106) And He will leave the earth a level plain; (107) You will not see therein a depression or an elevation."
And nothing shades the creation from the sun, no building, no tree, no stone, or anything else.

Verily. Allah would say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who have mutual love for My Glory's sake? Today I shall shelter them in My shadow when there is no other shadow but the shadow of Mine.
And from him (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, you will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread (the greeting of) peace among yourselves.
And from him (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
A person visited his brother in another town and Allah deputed an Angel to wait for him on his way
إن رجلاً زار أخا له في قرية أخرى، فأرصد الله له على مدرجته ملكاًthat Allah loves you as you love him (for His sake).
From al-Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with them both), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said regarding the Ansar:
None but the believer loves them, none but the hypocrite hates them. He who loves them loves Allah and he who hates them hates Allah.
And from Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Allah the Exalted said.
