The reciter: Adam narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us, saying: Anas ibn Sirin narrated to us, saying: I heard Anas say: A man from the Ansar said, "I am unable to pray with you." He was a large man, so he prepared food for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and invited him to his home. He spread out a mat for him and sprinkled water on the edge of the mat, and he prayed two units of prayer on it. A man from the family of al-Jarud asked Anas, "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pray the Duha prayer?" He said: "I did not see him pray it except on that day."
The Shaykh : The point of this hadith is the question: Does the imam pray with whoever is present? This is the apparent meaning, and it is subtle in reality. Did you not speak about it in the commentary? Read the commentary.
